Everything is default except framerate imiter. I would completely disregard and ignore that setting in the game and not play around with it once you have set r_swapinterval 0 and capped the framrate with NVI. When you run the game now the game with be at a locked 60fps regardless of what the menus say (30fps). All you have to do is set r_swapinterval 0 and use Nvidia Inspector to edit The Evil Within profile and simply change the framerate limiter to 60.7fps. Whatever you have set in game for the framrate (30/60fps lock) it doesn't matter because when you set r_swapinterval 0 it shows as 30 fps lock in the game menu even though you actually have uncapped framrate. So I'm using the latest build of The Evil Within on steam. The developers have even warned that any bugs that occur above 60 FPS are not supported. That is because the game was not designed to work above 60 FPS. I also ask because I've read that even when people use the r_swapinterval 0 command to unlock frame rate, an FPS counter will still read 60 FPS average. I really don't see how going from a 60 FPS frame lock in game settings to adding a frame rate limit higher than that in NI could even be possible, let alone produce better results.ĭid you first set Vertical sync in NI to "Force off"? I ask because since that update, you have only two options in the game settings for frame lock, 30, or 60. I assume since you're talking about it on Steam, you got it on Steam, and got that free update. Less than 2 months after release, the PC version got a patch that added a 60 FPS frame lock, along with a toggle to turn off letterbox and play it full screen. Unlike the one used by the heroes, their rifle scope emits a very bright glint to signify that they have a bead on Sebastian and are ready to fire.Originally posted by Frag Maniac:I have to ask what build version of the game you're running.
